Another awesome trip along the Mohaka River to Te Puia Hut, this time with son Mark.
There are no bookings at this hut, first come first served, so it's great to carry a tent just in case.
The weather was superb and Mark enjoyed some refreshing swims in the river along the way. We had a break at the hut to set up camp and make a cuppa, then wandered along to the springs for a hot swim before a relaxing evening in the hut playing cards.
